Silmo Award İstanbul 2025
The Silmo Award Istanbul 2025 ceremony was once again held as a prestigious event that brought together industry professionals, brand representatives, and designers, recognizing contributions that add value across design, innovation, sustainability, technology, and customer experience. Within the scope of Silmo Award Istanbul, the brands and projects deemed worthy of an award were showcased to visitors throughout the Silmo Istanbul fair, creating an inspiring display that highlighted creativity, innovation, and the vision shaping the future of the industry. Designed to make visible the work that makes a difference in the optical world, the award program evaluated nominated and winning brands and projects not only on aesthetic and quality criteria, but also based on innovative perspectives, technological contributions, and sustainable production approaches.
Held on November 20, 2025, at the main foyer of Halls 5, 6, and 7 of Istanbul Expo Center, the event hosted, for the first time, an eyewear frame design competition dedicated to university students. This new category, aimed at introducing young talents studying in Fashion Design and Industrial Design departments to the industry, strongly reflected Silmo Award Istanbul’s vision of investing in the future. As a result, the award program evolved into an inclusive platform that supports not only today’s achievements, but also the designers and brands of tomorrow.
Beyond honoring the winners, the Silmo Award Istanbul contribute to increasing the recognition and brand value of domestic manufacturers, brands, and companies in both national and international markets, while also strengthening the visibility of companies representing international brands in Turkey. At the same time, by supporting the integration of young talents into the sector, Silmo Award Istanbul adds lasting value to the industry by leading the development of optical retail with a focus on customer and store satisfaction. Through applications submitted by Silmo Istanbul exhibitors, awards in a total of seven categories were presented at Silmo Award Istanbul 2025.
